Number: Your spring-summer 2018 collection seems more relaxed than usual, what was your main inspiration?

Michael Kors: You’ve certainly noticed that as soon as the weather turns nice and the temperature rises, we naturally dress in a less formal way? For this collection, I wanted precisely to recreate that relaxed and laid back attitude that exists in hospitable places where the sun shines, and to infuse it with luxurious and glamorous details as well as an artisanal aspect.

In Shanghai, you have just launched a new concept, the “Kors Walk Box”, how did you get this idea?

The concept of this event was established thanks to our campaign The Walk, which took up the idea of ​​street style with photos taken on the fly in the street, and in which various influencers reinterpret the Michael Kors style. Our evening in Shanghai last November was aptly dedicated to celebrating the personal style that emerges from the campaign imagery, and the “Kors Walk Box” encouraged guests to reveal their personalities behind their looks and make their own. fashion film.

You were also one of the first to offer a connected watch. What attracts you to new technologies?

We live in an age where technology is a necessity, so I just said to myself, “Why not make it an accessory?” Today we are connected twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and technology, like fashion, is constantly evolving and changing, which I find very exciting. We will therefore continue to combine fashion and technology to make our customers’ lives easier, accessible and stylish.

Which city did you choose and why?

New York, because I feel totally at home there, and it is my ultimate city. The mix of styles, diversity, food and culture… here I find inspiration on every street corner.
