The opening night of The Last Dance set a new record for ESPN in the United States with a average audience of 6.1 million people, the largest amount for a documentary in the history of the television company that on April 19 presented the first two chapters of the series that chronicles Michael Jordan’s last season with the Chicago Bulls.

According to a statement from the sports network, the first episode had 6.3 million viewers and the second 5.8 million, with which was the most watched ESPN content this year since the College Football Final in which LSU defeated Clemson.
