Metro Police Response Regarding Free Sentences for 2 Members of FPI Laskar Shooters

“Polda Metro Jaya respects the court’s decision that has been implemented in a transparent and open manner,” said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (18/3/2022).

Zulpan said the court’s decision also confirmed that the actions taken by Fikri and Yusmin did not violate the rules. According to him, members of the Polda Metro Jaya have served in accordance with the provisions of the events at Km 50 that.

“Then the second is related to the South Jakarta District Court’s decision today regarding the Km 50 incident, this means that what the police did in that incident was in accordance with the SOP that had been carried out by members in the field,” explained Zulpan.

2 Members of Polda Metro Sentenced Free

The defendants Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan and Ipda M Yusmin Ohorella were acquitted in connection with the shooting of FPI troops at Km 50 of the Cikampek toll road. Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan was found guilty of murder and assault that led to death in the Km 50 case but was forced to defend himself.

“The trial, stated that the defendant was proven to have committed a criminal act as the primary indictment of the public prosecutor, stated that the actions of the Defendants Fikri Ramadhan and M Yusmin committed a primary crime in the context of the defense being forced to exceed the limit, stated that they could not be sentenced for reasons of justification and forgiveness,” said the presiding judge. Muhammad Arif Nuryanta reading the verdict at the South Jakarta District Court, Jalan Ampera Raya, South Jakarta, Friday (18/3/2022).
