Meghan Markle Announces New Podcast Agreement with Lemonada Media After Spotify Fallout

Meghan Markle announced that he will return to the world of podcasts after signing an agreement with the American network Lemonada Media, after the cancellation of the contract he had with Spotify.

Through a statement, the Duchess of Sussex announced her union with the podcast network, with which she will continue her love for this type of projects.

“I am proud to now share that I will be joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting. Being able to support a company founded by a woman, with a list of podcasts that thought-provoking and very entertaining“It’s a fantastic way to start the year 2024,” Markle said.

In addition to launching more podcasts, Markle reported that she plans to relaunch Archetypes, which had been launched on Spotify but was left adrift after the cancellation of the agreement with the platform.

“Our plan to relaunch Archetypes so more people can access it, as well as the launch of a dynamic new podcast, are underway. “I am very eager to be able to share it soon and I am very happy to join the Lemonada family,” the statement mentions.

Meghan and Prince Harry wanted to move away from exclusive distribution with Spotify for their audio projects, sources revealed to Variety. However, the position of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked a scandal when they were called “scammers” by the head of the platform, Bill Simmons, for failing to comply with a contract worth $20 million dollars.
