South Korean media highlighted the success of Indonesian players Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi became the MVP of the first round of the South Korean Women’s Volleyball League or V-League 2023/2024.
Indonesian National Volleyball Team player Megawati ‘Megatron’ was successfully named the Best Player or Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the first round of the V-League or Korean Women’s Volleyball League 2023/2024.
Megawati’s achievements made her record new history in the V-League as the first Asian foreign player to win the MVP title. Megawati’s success as the first Asian foreign player to win MVP has become the focus of the South Korean media.

Megawati was named the best player in the first round of the Korean Volleyball League after being chosen by almost half of the 31 votes from the media in South Korea.
Megawati won 15 votes. He was seven votes ahead of Gyselle Silva from the GS Caltex Seoul KIXX team who finished second.
Meanwhile, Kim Yeon-koung from the Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders team took third place with six votes.
Megawati ‘Megatron”s success in being selected as MVP cannot be separated from the fact that she was able to contribute greatly to Red Sparks.
Megawati successfully helped the Red Sparks record four wins from six matches in the first half of the Korean Volleyball League. Megatron was also voted MVP of the match twice.
Throughout the first round, Megawati succeeded in occupying the fourth position as the player with the most points contributed or the V-League Top Score with 138 points.
Megatron is also in second place with a successful attack percentage of 48.46 percent.
Not only that, Megawati was in second place with a success percentage of 49.23 percent open attacksuccess percentage 40.91 percent back attackand the success percentage reached 51.22 for quick attack.
