Katrīna Albuže is a choreographer, dancer and dance teacher. The contemporary dance performance “Here and Now” is an interactive and improvised choreography, the mood and course of which the dancer helps to create. “The main call in the show is especially attractive – don’t be afraid to do it!” notes the event organizers.

A week later, on July 22, visitors will be offered an evening of music and poetry “Beyond the Border”, which unites three bright artists – poet Inga Gaili, flutist Rūta Īzāks Mači and pianist Ilze Kundziņš. The program includes works by contemporary Latvian composers of different generations – women, and the atmosphere of the concert will be formed by the interaction and contrasts of poetry and music.

On July 22, the jazzy collaboration of music and poetry performed by the poet Sergei Timofeyev and double bassist Stanislav Judin is also expected.

This week, the art exhibition is created by Liene Pavlovska – it will be a multimedia installation “Shores of the Milk River and the Jelly” that includes architecture and spectators.

On July 29, the band Tangooriginales, consisting of cellist Mark Viļenskis, accordionist Savva Zihs and double bassist Tom Timofejev, will perform with the program “Counterpoint of Piacolla and Bach”. The concert program “simultaneously allows you to feel in depth the opposite of the aesthetic dramaturgy of Astor Piacola and Johann Sebastian Bach’s work, as well as the similarity in the genius simplicity of their music,” the organizers of the event promise.

On July 29, choreographer Laura Gorodko’s contemporary dance performance “Pocket-sized landfill” will also be shown, which would show what would happen to the consumer if all the plastic packaging containing purchased household goods and food miraculously disappeared into a trash container, but accumulated and take with you on a daily basis.
