maybe towards a remake for 2021?

If you love science fiction and adventure games, it’s a safe bet that Mass Effect has not left you indifferent. After a somewhat disappointing Andromeda, heads turn to hope for a remake of the original trilogy. But while we scrutinize the least rumor of corridor that could go in this direction, it is the reissue of a 2012 artbook which could give us some details.

A Space Opera on paper

Commander Shepard will have amazed us and kept us going for a few years, with a saga across the stars and planets. If we had already been able to enjoy a compilation “Mass Effect Trilogy”, a box set of the first three parts and including some downloadable content, the desire among fans is being felt to be able to dive back into the license, but on the latest generation of home consoles.

A remaster of the trilogy seems to have been in the discussions for a few months now, but even if it is becoming persistent, there was nothing really leading us to believe anything but rumors. It was without counting the appearance on Amazon, as well as other online sales sites, an artbook on Mass Effect. The book is called “The Art of Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition”, with an estimated release date of February 23, 2021.

It is actually a reissue of a 2012 artbook called “The Art of Mass Effect Universe”. If the details of the description are to be believed, this new expanded version would contain illustrations of downloadable content from all three games, including “The Lair of the Shadow Broker” and “Citadel” from Mass Effect 3.

But the question that arises: why this new edition of the book and that after so many years? Could this coincide with the announcement this year of a remake of the trilogy? In any case, this is what it could suggest if we read between the lines. The hope would be to have an official news during the celebration of “N7 Day” on November 7th. All that’s left is to be patient.
