Pajula was not found guilty of a crime.
The District Court of Helsinki has dismissed city councilor Matias Pajula’s (kok) accusation of rape.
The prosecutor demanded that Pajula be punished for the rape, which, according to the subpoena application, took place in the spring of 2020, when Pajula was the chairman of the Norwegian Youth Association.

Pajula has worked as the campaign manager of Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen (Kok), the coalition’s government negotiator and the chairman of the board of Helsinki Region Transport, or HSL.
– Despite the difficult situation, I am satisfied that the matter will be thoroughly handled by the Finnish legal system, Pajula wrote in his blog when the charges became public.
