A massive group of women food handlers from the O’Higgins region marked the celebration of International Workers’ Day in the regional capital, a day that began in the Plaza de Los Héroes and culminated at the headquarters of the Unitary Central of Workers ( CUT) located on Ibieta Street.

Representatives of unions, unions, leaders and government authorities were present at this activity, organized by the CUT, which was classified as a union political act, where the workers demanded a series of wage demands and labor rights, which dignify to the country’s labor sector.

María Guzmán: “Let’s work to live and not live to work”

The president of the CUT in Cachapoal, María Guzmán Rubio, said in her speech that they have been deploying a series of initiatives whose central objective is to strengthen the union organization and remain alert to defend the rights of the workers of this province.

“We reaffirm the mission of the CUT as an unifier of the people’s struggles.
