EL TIEMPO contacted Carlos Vela, mayor of El Tambo, who confirmed the information. Vela assured that, in effect, there are six victims. However, he explained that “the signal in the area fell and there is no way to dialogue with the leaders”, so it does not have many details about the fact.

Vela also stated that, for now, there is no data on the identities of those killed. At this time, the community is moving the bodies to the municipal seat. That journey would take about two hours.

This newspaper was also able to establish that the Army, the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office have not yet arrived at the scene and that there is not total clarity on who could be behind this crime.

The mayor of El Tambo said that, according to information provided by the community, these six people would have been summoned to a meeting. “Hours later, they were found dead,” he added.

The victims have been detained by an armed group. Preliminary versions indicate that the crime was perpetrated by the structure “Segunda Marquetalia”, which is a dissident of the Farc.

This is the second massacre that is known this Friday. The first was registered in the afternoon in Arauca, where five people were murdered, apparently by FARC dissidents.
