LOUISVILLE, KOMPAS.com – Two officers Police been shot in Kentucky, United States ( AS), after there were no police White skin charged with murder Breonna Taylor in March.
Protesters had marched in Louisville, Kentucky, with several of them arrested after clashes broke out between crowds and police officers.
Launch Sky News on Thursday (9/24/2020), police chief Robert Schroeder told a press conference that his officers had been attacked following the deployment of a number of police to the city center, following reports shooting.
Schroeder said they were being treated at the University Hospital, where they were “alert and stable”, while the others were “undergoing surgery and stable”.
He added that one suspect has been detained.
Members of the National Guard, police in protective gear and military armored vehicles were ordered into Louisville, as protesters responded with grief and anger at the panel of judges’ decision not to sue the police officer who shot Taylor.
Prosecutors announced that a police officer had been charged, but not on charges directly related to the murder of the 26-year-old black woman on March 13.
There were 3 white police officers involved in Tylor’s death, among them was Brett Hankison.
However, Hankison is the only one charged with 3 counts of endangerment for reckless first degree acts, after he fired his gun at Tylor’s neighboring apartment.

On the 3 counts, he could face up to 5 years in prison for each of the charges.
Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said the investigation found that 2 other police officers were justified in using force.
As police lined up with shields outside the courthouse, protesters threw plastic water bottles at them.
Then, police in riot gear fired stun grenades and formed a line in Jefferson Square, which has become the center of the protests.

Most of the square was cleared before curfew, as an implementation of coronavirus control measures as demonstrators marched through other parts of the city center.
Protests have erupted across the US in retaliation for Breonna Taylor’s decision, with demonstrators marching on the streets of New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
Protesters in New York were heard chanting, “Say her name, Breonna Taylor,” as they marched down the street in downtown Brooklyn.
The panel of judges has not filed charges for the murder of Taylor, who was shot multiple times by police who raided her home during a drug raid that went wrong. Actually, after being checked there were no drugs in Taylor’s apartment.
As a result of the action of white police officers who raided without warning, Tylor’s girlfriend who was at the scene shot and injured a police officer.
Presiden Donald Trump commended the Republic of Kentucky attorney general for his handling of the investigation into Taylor’s death.
He read Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s statement which said that “justice is often not easy.”
“I said, ‘write it down for me, because I think that’s a great statement’,” said the US president.
