Masks, gel, timetables … The answers to the questions you are asking yourself about the reopening of the Chartres media library

Two months after its closure due to a coronavirus crisis, the L’Apostrophe media library will reopen its doors on Tuesday 26 May.
But it will do so under very specific conditions. Here are some.

The Apostrophe celebrates its ten years in Chartres

1. When?

The schedules, from this Tuesday, are reduced, as during the summer period. The Sunday opening is also suspended until further notice.

2. How?

Catherine Merlin, the director of the place, established with the services of the town hall a very strict protocol. “A security guard will be placed at the entrance to enforce a gauge of forty people maximum in the establishment, with a limited time of half an hour. Users will have to enter a queue and follow a signposted route to avoid meeting other people. We cannot sit or work. “

3. Are masks and gel mandatory?

As in other public places, bottles of hydroalcoholic gel are placed at the entrance of all rooms, and the counters are surrounded by plexiglass plates. Wearing a mask is highly recommended for visitors, and mandatory for employees. Some will even be fitted with visors.

4. Open or closed?

In order to allow a return of the public in the best possible conditions, the opening of the Apostrophe will be partial. The 5th floor (fiction and documentaries) as well as the multimedia space will accommodate users. But, again, with strict rules: no more than fifteen people per room. The CD, DVD and youth sections will remain closed until further notice.

Convenient. Open Tuesday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
