The pioneers of social networks shared a video of Maryam while she was having this experience, which sparked a great interaction among the followers who praised their admiration for her tenacity, as she is considered the first Arab and Saudi woman to accomplish this feat. .
Maryam expressed her happiness crossing the Red Sea from Saudi Arabia to Egypt and confirmed in a comment on her official Instagram page: “It was a dream she didn’t expect to realize, but she managed to make it happen. “
Interestingly, this is not the first time Mariam has crossed distances by swimming, as she had previously set a record in swimming in the Dubai Canal, which is estimated at a distance of 24 kilometers, and even managed to cut the Full English Channel in 11 hours and 41 minutes in 2016.
