In parallel with the battle for market share of streaming, content publishers are busy conquering another market on a smaller scale. In recent years, Marvel got it into his head to rid comic book stories of two fundamental characteristics – reading and drawing – to keep only the clean text-to-audio format. The company has joined forces with the platform Serial Box for a new adventure offered in audio format: Black Panther : Sins of the King.
The writing team led by Ira Madison III, screenwriter on the series Daybreak, critic, journalist and podcast host Keep It!, will be responsible for telling a story centered on T’Challa. The Black Panther discovers that his father was brought back to life by accident, and will have to face the secrets and gray areas of the previous kingship led by T’Chaka. Okoye will be part of the adventure, as well as Misty Knight and War Machine.
To take care of the reading, Marvel went to look for the actor William Jackson Harper, undecided philosopher of the series The Good Place, also seen in the film Midsummer. The project is expected for January 2021 on the application Serial Box, where other projects dedicated to Thor, Black Widow and Jessica Jones are already available.
