Marita Kramer from Apeldoorn gives Austrian team gold at the World Ski Jumping Championships

At the World Cup Nordic numbers, the Dutch-born Marita Kramer won gold with the Austrian team in the team competition on the normal ramp.

In both rounds Slovenia led after three jumps, but Austria always climbed to first place thanks to the 19-year-old Kramer, who was the last jumper to reach 102.5 meters and 104 meters.

In 2008, Kramer moved with her parents to Maria Alm, Austria, where she discovered ski jumping at primary school.

Orange helmet

Although the native Apeldoornse wears an orange helmet in competitions, she is working under the Austrian flag towards the Olympic Winter Games next year. With success: Kramer already took hold last year the world title in the juniors and this winter she won a world cup three times.
