GALLIPOLI – A few days after the presentation of the new Faculty of Medicine, Surgery and Biomedical Application which will be activated in Lecce from next year, thanks to the cross collaboration between the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, the University of Lecce, the Asl and the Puglia Region, the training offer is also growing for the Sacro Cuore di Gesù hospital in Gallipoli.
After three years of intense bureaucratic and programmatic work, the municipal administration of Gallipoli, the general management of the ASL and the technical committee for the establishment of the medical school for the conduct of masters and specialization courses related to the university’s medical faculty of Bari, have already achieved their goal by opening the doors to the project of Gallipoli university city. The epidemiological emergency has postponed the recent programs of the second Summer School, but for the immediate future the accreditation of the Gallipoli hospital is ready, as per the provisions of the Miur, as the seat of the training network of specialization of the next medical courses.
In fact, with a note dated 23 February, signed by the general manager Gaetano Prudente, the University of Bari communicated to the general management of the Lecce Local Health Authority that it had included, in addition to the training offers provided at the Vito Fazzi hospital and the Asl Lecce, also the specialization school in “Sports Medicine and Physical Exercise” at the “Sacred Heart of Jesus” hospital in Gallipoli.
After the acknowledgment and the relative signing of the note of the Bari university by the general director, Rodolfo Rollo, the implementation agreement for the inclusion of the Gallipoli hospital among the seats of the specialization schools in the health area will be especially done to the branch of sports medicine and exercise
