It’s very joyful, it’s very lively, very fraternal! And I think that it gave me a very beautiful image of the Church“says the 31-year-old singer.
Uprooting
Marie-Laure Garnier’s career is also marked by this departure at 14 for Paris. An uprooting that coincides with his musical apprenticeship at the conservatory of the capital. A moment not necessarily easy for her: “These first years were years of physical emptiness … I had left my parish of Kourou and I didn’t really know anyone, I was tossed around. […] I waited a few years to find my parish Saint-Pierre de Montrouge in the 14th arrondissement. “A period which also led him to discover the differences in culture in the practice of the faith:” When I arrived in Paris, it was completely different … I said to myself ‘oh well say Parisians …’ and finally I got a taste for it because in fact I was an actress in this liturgy […] I was happy to be able to give my voice to allow others to pray“.
Singing: a mission
