COn the same platform, Manju Patros responded to actor Binu Adimali, who justified body shaming in Nimas and television shows. Binu Adimali said that artistes joke to make the audience happy and do not intend to harm anyone personally. But Manju replied that many people are hurt by such cruel jokes.

‘We do every program with a lot of sadness inside. Every joke is done to make the audience happy. It does not mean body shaming or harming someone personally. There was no body shaming in earlier films. Jokes are told back and forth. See it as just jokes to make the movie successful. This is an application. Binu Adimali said that everything is done with great difficulty.

Manju Patros, who was on the same platform, corrected it. The actress said that she was a victim of ridicule because of her color and height since childhood. Manju added that such jokes do not make him laugh.

Binu Chetan said it’s a joke that many artistes are struggling to make a living, but yes I am one who is struggling. Ever since I can remember I have been teased a lot about my color and complexion. When people around me told a lot of funny jokes, I didn’t get to enjoy it at all that day. These jokes were instilling in me from childhood that I was lacking something. It’s not just me who gets injected like this, Binu Chetan will also see it. If I have listened to these jokes, there is a community like me here. It hurts me no matter how many people tell me it’s okay. At a joke about a man with a loose tooth who can’t frame his picture and the glass will break, the listener might laugh, but I don’t know if he’s really laughing.’

Manju added that while telling such comedy, fellow human beings should also be considered and there will be at least 10 people who will be hurt by such jokes. ‘My son is in black. Still my fear is that he will have to face everything like I did. I am concerned that he is going to such a dangerous society. I want to say that the next generation should stop making jokes about color and body. It is polite to show them not to make such jokes. I am also a martyr of this type of jokes. That is why it is said. I can never laugh at such jokes’. Manju added.
