Mandalika MotoGP Audience Reaches 62 Thousand, This is the Province with the Most Purchase of Tickets

The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia or commonly known as MotoGP Mandalika 2022 has been held on March 18-20 2022. The number of spectators for the Mandalika MotoGP on racing day (20/3) is said to have crossed 62,000 people. Then the audience from which province the most come to the circuit?

The Indonesian MotoGP event at the Pertamina International Street Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has captured the attention of automotive sports lovers in Indonesia. As detikOto observed at the location, the stands, both regular and VIP classes, were filled with spectators from various regions.

The MC (Master of Ceremony) or the host of the Mandalika MotoGP said, as many as 60 thousand Mandalika MotoGP tickets were reportedly sold out. Several regions became the provinces that bought the most tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP. The five provinces include West Java, East Java, DKI Jakarta, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, regarding the number of spectators for the Mandalika MotoGP, according to renowned British journalist Simon Patterson, the total number of spectators for the Mandalika MotoGP has reached more than 100 thousand spectators. It was the result of the accumulation of spectators from free practice sessions, qualifying, to racing (18-20/3).

The details, on Friday (18/3) the number of spectators reached 9,857 people, then on Saturday (19/3) the number of spectators reached 30,021 people, then on Sunday (20/3) where the Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP took place, the number of spectators reached 62,923 people. So in total, during the three days of the Mandalika MotoGP, the number of spectators reached 102,801 people.

Meanwhile, citing the explanation of the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) on its official website, the number of spectators for the Mandalika MotoGP on Sunday (20/3) was approximately 60 thousand.

“We have held MotoGP 2022 for 3 days and we have made great history after a long wait of 25 years. We have gained a lot of valuable experience to improve the quality of organizing future events. We are committed to continuing to learn and prepare for the organization of other racing events that will be held in Indonesia. Pertamina Mandalika Circuit is even better,” said ITDC President Director, Abdulbar M. Mansoer.
