The police in the Waldshut district had to deal with a manageable number of operations on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2020 / January 1, 2021. The balance was clouded by a large-scale operation due to a garage fire in Bad Säckingen (see separate press release). The police were present with strong forces in the entire district, for example in the rural areas around St.Blasien or Bonndorf. This had consequences for nine people around St.Blasien who had violated the night exit restrictions. They were displayed. A total of 23 administrative offense reports due to violations of the Corona Ordinance were filed that night.
