Man Utd Can’t Get Penalty, Solskjaer Blames Klopp

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Five games without penalties, Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even pointing Jurgen Klopp as the root cause of the problem.

Man Utd have gone through five games this season. Man Utd appeared ferocious with 13 goals and was listed as the most fertile club. It’s just that the Red Devils squad has not received a penalty.

In the last match against West Ham United in the Premier League, there were at least two incidents that were expected to result in penalties. But the referee ignored it.

For the referee’s decision not to award 12 kicks for his team, Solskjaer also accused the Liverpool coach of being the trigger.

“We just hope we get what we deserve. We should have had three penalties in the last two games. There were some managers who were worried we got a penalty last year and after that it was difficult for us to get it,” said Solskjaer.

“I saw a big difference after that. You can only leave it to the referees and hope they make the right decision as soon as possible.” Daily Mail.

Although he did not mention Klopp’s name openly, the German coach firmly complained about the penalty awarded by the referee for Man Utd in January.

Since Solskjaer took charge of Man Utd in December 2018, the former Premier League rulers have earned 49 penalties. While in the same period Liverpool got 22 penalties in all competitions.

While after Klopp voiced his opinion on the rivals’ penalties, Man Utd have only received seven penalties so far and Liverpool have received three.

For this season, while Man Utd are yet to receive a penalty, Liverpool have been awarded one 12-foot-long kick in the Premier League and one 11-yard shot in the Champions League.
