NEW YORK – A woman was found dead and stabbed inside a residence in Brooklyn and her brother is the main suspect in the crime, the New York City Police announced.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred on Sunday, at about 11:29 pm, when the police responded to a call about an assault in progress inside a residence in Beverley Road. Upon arrival, officers found Shanelle Colquhoun, a 26-year-old woman, with stab wounds to her neck and arms, authorities said.
Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
His brother, a 17-year-old teenager, is in custody and is the main suspect, police said.
Authorities did not release further information and the investigation is ongoing.
