A man killed his wife who was six months pregnant and their 4-year-old daughter with a piece of wood in the municipality of Matagalpa, in the north of Nicaragua, reported this Saturday the National Police.
The events occurred on Friday when the man, identified as Alex Castellón, beat his wife, Fátima del Carmen Martínez Ramírez, 29, and their daughter, with a piece of wood, inside their housesaid in a report the police chief of that area, Juan Manuel Chávez.

The man hid the bodies under a bed, where they were found yesterday by a relative of the woman, while fleeing the crime scene. The suspect was captured this Saturday by the National Police, who presented it to the media, along with evidence and evidence.
According to the police chief, during the interview, the man confessed that he killed the victims hitting with a piece of wood. He doctor forensic Laws Bartoz Blandón determined that the causes of death of the victims were cranial hemorrhage as the direct cause, cranial fracture as the intermediate cause, and head trauma as the basic cause.

Neighbors told local media that the alleged femicide is addicted to alcohol and drugs. The non-governmental organization Catholics for the Right to Decide rejected mentioning these vices as an alleged excuse.
“They are not outbursts, it is not alcohol, it is not jealousy, it is machismo and a whole system that encompasses male aggressors who believe they are the owners of the lives of women women“, said that NGO, which has registered 44 femicides and 55 attempted femicides so far this year.
Feminist organizations in Nicaragua have criticized the government’s alleged passivity on the violence male chauvinist, especially after the Women, Children and Adolescents Police Stations were abolished, who were in the police delegations, as well as promoting mediation between victims and aggressors.
