A 47-year-old, who became aware of the incident, then stood protectively between the man and the victim. He engaged the 35-year-old in a conversation. Another traveler informed the police. The 35-year-old was found by a patrol of the federal police when the train arrived at Freiburg main station. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the Latvian citizens, among other things, for threats and insults.
