Man in scooter ends up in Eindhoven canal and is rescued by bystanders

Bystanders saved the life of a man who ended up in an Eindhoven canal with his scooter. The passers-by saw the scooter lying in the grass by the side of the water and immediately dived into the water to lift the man on the side, reports Broadcasting Brabant.

An ambulance and a trauma helicopter were called in to provide assistance. When the ambulance arrived, the man was unresponsive. He was then taken to hospital. It is unclear how he is doing.

According to the police, the man owes his life to the people who saw him and the scooter lying in the water between the high bushes. It is possible that the man gave too much gas when he drove up the sidewalk and he would have ended up in the water.
