This action will take your breath away! A man climbed the Brooklyn Bridge at rush hour without shoes. The New York police climbed after him and arrested him – in the video.
Man triggered traffic chaos
The man climbed a steel cable on the Booklyn Bridge in New York around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning. Instead of shoes, he only wore socks and a T-shirt from an environmental organization. The motive of the early bird climber remained unclear.
The New York police did not find the action funny at all. The man put himself in mortal danger, and he also blocked two lanes for motorists in the morning rush hour. Police had to close them eastbound for the time of the incident.
A crisis intervention team from the officials was finally able to convince the man to come down again after around 20 minutes. When he got there, the officers handcuffed him. He was then taken to the psychiatric ward of a hospital. (jaw / how)
