It is clear that Jules Verne is one of the mysteries of civilization, although there is no evidence that at the beginning of his writing activity he had dreams of the future. The fact is, however, that after 1880, when he was exactly 52, his gift of predicting things from the future followed, or at least nothing was written on the matter, which decades and centuries later would be accepted as prophetic.
