– We were notified that a firebomb had been thrown at a building and that it was burning in a carpet outside a shop. A reporter who tried to put out the fire was then thrown a stone at by the perpetrator, says operations manager Sven Christian Lie at the police in Oslo to NTB.
It turned out not to be a firebomb, but police are searching for a man who set the fire on fire. It must have started in a blanket and spread to a box and an awning outside the store before it was quickly extinguished.
One person arrested
– The potential for this to become a larger fire was definitely in places, says Lie.
At 2.19, the police report that a person has been arrested on suspicion of the affair.
– The man was stopped by a patrol that was in search. Traces on the spot link the person to the action, the police in Oslo report Twitter.
