Mamaev shares positive memories of imprisonment

Moscow, April 5th. Football player Pavel Mamaev admitted that sometimes he remembers the days spent in prison with warmth in his soul, MK.RU reports.

According to the midfielder of “Rostov”, while behind bars, he rethought many things in his life. He says that through imprisonment he gained important experience and made global conclusions. Mamaev said that he had seen many interesting people in the correctional facility, and their stories shocked him.

“And so I remember prison days even with gratitude,” the footballer admits.

Recall that in the fall of 2018, while still a player in Krasnodar, Mamaev, along with Zenit striker Alexander Kokorin, his younger brother Kirill and their common friend Alexander Protasovitsky, provoked two fights in Moscow. Soon, the players were placed in jail. In May 2019, the Kokorins brothers were sentenced to 18 months in prison for hooliganism and assault, and Mamaev and Protasovitsky to 17 months.

Earlier, the wife of football player Alan Mamaev admitted that the husband’s imprisonment saved their marriage. According to her, thanks to the punishment, he and Paul were able to truly open up to each other. The girl says that the football player was counting on her and was worried that she could leave him because of the scandalous story. Alana Mamaeva admits that she previously thought about a divorce, but what happened changed their relationship with her husband.
