Ernakulam Elur Future Football Academy has entered the final round of the award given by Malayala Manorama to the best sports club in Kerala. The awards are presented in collaboration with Santa Monica Study Abroad Pvt. Three clubs are in the final round.

The Future Football Club is hitting the ball into the future at Fact’s ground in Eluru. The academy, which started with 40 students eight years ago, now has around 300 students. The club, which has been participating in tournaments since 2015, reached the final round in 2019 in the I-League Under-13 division. FF teams play in KFA’s Kerala Academy League under 12, 14, 16 and 18 categories. Gokulam Kerala team’s Nimshad Roshan, Alfin Walter, Mohan Bagan’s Atul Unnikrishnan, Bengaluru FC Under 13 player Cyrus Abhilash, Kerala Blasters Under 15 team players KS Mahin and Faris Ali are some of the future contributors. The training is in 7 age groups. VP Shaji, a former coach and former Santosh Trophy player, is the head coach of Future. Other coaches are Walter Antony, Paul P. Thomas, TK Ashraf, D. Pramod Kumar, Rajeev Raj, Kaladharan, Regison E. Thomas, Jobish and KT Abhilash. All are licensed coaches and have played in tournaments, including the Santosh Trophy.

The ground and the office for the club to operate were provided free of charge by Fact Management. Fact staff are the official responsibilities of the club. The activity charges a small fee from parents. However, club officials have assured that no one will lose their football dreams due to lack of money.
