Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Saiman said Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo had accompanied the fugitive Djoko S Tjandra to Pontianak, West Kalimantan.
According to Boyamin, the trip to Pontianak was using a private jet.
“Prasetijo Utomo also according to the information that came to me, he had also participated in escorting to Pontianak with private jet, “Boyamin said in a discussion, Jakarta, Saturday (18/7).
On the way from Jakarta to Pontianak, said Boyamin, Djoko Tjandra used a travel document prepared by Prasetijo.
“Day [Djoko Tjandra] “To secure the Jakarta-Pontianak road, he uses a travel permit issued by Prasetijo Utomo,” said Boyamin.
Previously, MAKI suspected that there was a state institution that provided a road letter to Djoko Tjandra so that law enforcement officials were not touched.
A copy of the letter was given to the Indonesian Ombudsman and the House of Representatives Commission III. And, later after being investigated it was apparently issued by Prasetijo Utomo who served as PPNS Kakorwas Bareskrim Polri.

For his actions, National Police Chief General Idham Azis also removed Prasetijo from his post on 15 July. In addition, for 14 days later the one-star general was detained in the provos for deeper examination by the Indonesian Police’s Professional and Security Division (Divpropam).
In a press conference yesterday, Inspector General of Public Relations of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that there was indeed direct communication, without intermediaries, between Prasetijo and Djoko Tjandra.
Not only travel documents, Argo also confirmed that the Covid-19 free letter facilitated by Prasetijo for Djoko Tjandra. However, he said, the figure examined by Pusdokkes Polri to get Covid-19’s free letter was the one who claimed to be Djoko Tjandra.
