President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a meeting with Indonesian police officers at the presidential palace in Jakarta. Jokowi revealed his message to the police.
This was communicated by Jokowi on his official Twitter account on Friday (10/14/2022). Jokowi also uploaded the photos of the meeting.
“Today I held a meeting with the ranks of the Indonesian National Police which was attended by all the main officials of the National Police Headquarters, the head of the regional police (kapolda), the head of the resort police (kapolres) across the country at the state Palace, “wrote Jokowi.

Jokowi said he needed to provide some directions to the police. Jokowi asked the police to maintain solidity and carry out their duties as protectors and public officials.
“I need to give a series of indications to the ranks of the National Police, one of which is that the Police maintain solidity in carrying out its main tasks and functions as protectors, protectors and public officials,” he said.
Jokowi is known to have invited all police chiefs and police chiefs across Indonesia. A total of 559 police officers were present following Jokowi’s directions.
National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo also revealed the results of President Jokowi’s directives. He said Jokowi asked the police to stand firm.
“His direction is clear and firm that we must all be solid together and fight to carry out what is the main task of our function,” General Sigit said at the State Palace on Friday (14/10).
He said the national police also expressed their gratitude for the appreciation given to the police, such as efforts to manage COVID-19 to protect community welfare.
Sigit said he would continue to reform the police. She said the renovation will be done in her entirety.
“We will continue to evaluate and improve internally as part of the general reform, instrumental reform and in particular the cultural reform of the National Police with enthusiasm and according to the indications of the president,” he said.
