How do you cross a body of water with all your equipment? – This is what soldiers of the Bundeswehr want to learn on Tuesday in the Main-Spessart district. In the Gemünden area and around Karlstadt, an exercise is therefore taking place as part of water body training.
The equipment should not get wet, otherwise the way to the bank can be difficult. The exercise starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.
The Bundeswehr asks the population to stay away from the troops. Because every now and then it can happen that military explosives remain lying around. Collecting, possessing and selling these items is prohibited – any find should be reported to the police immediately. Damage caused by the Bundeswehr should be reported to the municipal or city administration.
