an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 struck an inland region of San Diego County, California on Sunday morning.
The earthquake occurred at 9:46 am near the Palomar Observatory, about 65 miles (104 kilometers) northeast of downtown San Diego, said the United States Geological Survey.
A spokesman for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said a tremor was felt at the Valley Center substation, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
“There were 2 main shakes with a quick shake,” the National Weather Service office in San Diego said on Twitter.
We felt an earthquake here at NWS San Diego–it looks like the preliminary estimate is 4.1 near Palomar Mountain. There were 2 main jolts with a rapid shaking.
