Madrid and Barcelona already ask to go to Phase 1 of the de-escalation next Monday

The Community of Madrid has formally requested the central government again to enter phase one of de-escalation and will send a new technical report tonight in order to justify its access to this level for next May 25.

This has been indicated by sources of the Ministry of Health to emphasize that this third request has been made official at the meeting of the inter-territorial council between the Ministry of Health and autonomous communities.

In the case of Barcelona and its metropolitan area, the Ministry highlights that it is being verified that the downward evolution of epidemiological risk factors -incidence of new cases and effective reproductive rate- is being maintained and that the diagnostic capacity has been promoted and follow-up of cases with PCR tests.
