Madonna has bought a villa that was previously occupied by The Weeknd for more than 16 million euros, reports People. The house is located in Hidden Hills, just outside the American city of Los Angeles.
Madonna has lived with her children in Lisbon for the past few years, where her son David played in the youth academy of the Portuguese football club Benfica.
She was also regularly found in her spacious penthouse in New York or holiday home in The Hamptons. When she stayed on the American west coast for an extended period of time, she rented a house in the Los Angeles area.
The fact that she has now bought her own property, according to sources, has to do with the fact that her life will be filmed. The singer wants to direct the biopic herself and has also co-written it.
The villa she bought from The Weeknd has nine bedrooms and bathrooms, which are divided between the ‘main house’ and the guest house. The house is equipped with every conceivable luxury, such as a swimming pool, spa, gym, outdoor kitchen and music studio.
