A dream duo reunited? The Uruguayan star striker Luiz Suarez is apparently about to make a winter move to Inter Miami in the North American MLS – and would meet his long-time Barca colleague Lionel Messi there. According to ESPN sources, Miami and Suarez have already agreed on a one-year contract, all that is missing is the 36-year-old’s signature.

Suarez is currently under contract with Gremio Porto Alegre in Brazil, but his coach Renato Gaucho confirmed last month that the star striker would leave the club at the end of the Brazilian Serie A season in December.
Suarez, Uruguay’s record goalscorer with 68 goals in 137 international matches, earned over 125 million euros in transfer fees during his career. He had his most successful years between 2014 and 2020 at FC Barcelona with world champion Messi. Together, the congenial offensive duo won the Champions League in 2015 and the Spanish championship four times, among other things.
At Miami under co-owner David Beckham, Suarez would also meet two other companions from his time with the Catalans, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
