Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan states that they are ready to resign if they are proven to have received money from PCR business. Luhut emphasized that he did not make a dime.
Luhut explained that he did donate money to Genomic Solidarity Indonesia (GSI). However, he said that the donation was solely not for profit, but for humanity.
“When I go to GSI it’s me naro money indeed, but not in the context of taking profit,” said Luhut in a joint interview CNNTV, as seen, Friday (12/11/2021).
Luhut also mentioned that he made donations to 7 universities in the country. From these donations, Luhut admitted that he did not make a dime of profit.
“Me donate in 7 universities, it’s at UI, at USU, at UGM, where is it, it’s home from me, there is no profit, what do you want benefited? Wong I was involved in this, fortunately we made it March-April-June last year, if it wasn’t even worse last July,” he said.
In order to prove his statement that he did not make any profit from the GSI, Luhut is ready to be audited by the BPK. He ensured that the money from GSI did not go to PT Tobako Sejahtera and other shareholders.
“Really ready (to be audited) from the start, I don’t have a penny in my pocket. What is it for? wong my money from my business is enough to live, I donate because it really is humanity,” said Luhut.
Furthermore, Luhut is ready to be summoned by the KPK after he and the SOE Minister were reported to the KPK because of the PCR business issue. According to him, as long as he doesn’t feel like he’s done anything wrong, he won’t be afraid.
“Ready just (called KPK), why not? I have nothing I scare as long as I don’t do that, not there is. What do I do? Wong I don’t have any business with it, and indeed the business is purely for humanity,” he said.
“If I receive my money resign, easy that is it troublesome,” added Luhut.
