On Saturday afternoon, a 26-year-old skier survived a fall over 80 meters of steep terrain on the Krippenstein in the Upper Austrian district of Gmunden, slightly injured. The Viennese could just hold on to the next high rock face.
According to the press release from the mountain rescue service in Obertraun, an attendant heard the calls for help and started the rescue chain. The two Viennese had been out all day in the unsecured, free ski room in deep snow on the Krippenstein. They wanted to cross the Angeralm into the valley, but drove the variant for the first time.

The mountain rescuers drove
skis to the scene of the accident and secured the woman from you
further crash. The emergency helicopter saved her by thawing
and flew the 26-year-old to the hospital in Schladming. The skier
should have gotten away with bruises and abrasions.
