Long-awaited transfer finally completed: Eriksen is player of Internazionale

It is final: Christian Eriksen can call himself a player of the Internazionale. The number two in the Serie A has announced the arrival of the Danish former Ajax player. Eriksen (27) comes over from Tottenham Hotspur and signs a contract until mid-2024.

The transfer had been coming for a while, but is now official. Allegedly, Inter pays around twenty million euros to buy off the Eriksen contract with Tottenham. Ajax receives ten percent of the transfer fee that Tottenham receives. He was in London until the end of the season. Tottenham wanted to extend, but Eriksen thought it was time for a new step in his career. Eriksen reported for the medical examination in Italy on Monday and was received by hundreds of Inter-fans at the airport of Milan.

Eriksen proved himself to be an absolute stronghold at Tottenham every season. Already in his first season with goals and assists he aroused the interest of various top clubs from Europe, including Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Last year he eliminated Ajax in the semifinals of the Champions League with Tottenham. Liverpool was too strong in the final. Eriksen never became champion with Tottenham.

Eriksen played in the youth of the Danish Middelfart Boldklub for ten years. After three years at Odense BK, he made the switch to Ajax. In Amsterdam, the midfielder played five seasons. He made the switch to Tottenham for more than thirteen million euros. That was in 2013.
