A bug fix comes just a few days after the end of support. A Windows 7 update should fix possible problems with background images, which are displayed in black for some users.
Just a few days after Microsoft stopped official support for Windows 7, the Redmond company was forced to provide an update, reports “The Verge”.-
The latest Windows 7 update (KB4534310) problems with the desktop wallpapers.-
According to Microsoft’s support article, after installing KB4534310, the desktop background may turn completely black. The bug only affects wallpapers that are dragged wide (image position: stretched; stretch). The other options like Filled or customized don’t seem to be affected.
Now Microsoft will provide a free fix for all users who use Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. So the Redmond company has to expand the free support for Windows 7. As it says in the support article, the US company is working on a solution and will provide an update “in an upcoming version”.–
