“I don’t wear a face mask. Nowhere. So I do my shopping without a face mask,” said Marion. When Luc asks if she gets vaccinated, she says, “No, no. I know what’s in it. No, really.” She adds that she knows that many people die from corona. “And if you experience that up close, it is very bad. I understand that very well.”

Regardless, she sticks to her point of view, which she realizes goes a long way. “And I think that’s very important to be able to share with you. It sounds really hard what I’m saying, but I couldn’t live with a man who has been vaccinated against this virus.”
As soon as Luc tells that he has already received one, she just doesn’t fall off her chair. “Really? I think that really sucks. Really sucks.” He explains why: “Also for others. Also so that I cannot infect my father.” Luc adds that he lost his mother to corona.

After a night’s sleep, they both realize that their ideas are miles apart. For Luc that brings ‘a lot of negativity’, especially since breakfast is immediately about corona again. Marion would like to say one more thing about that: “I thought about the death of your mother. I hope I did not touch you in that.”
But for Luc the story is over. He thinks she is straightforward and is shocked by her strong opinion, such as not being able to live with a vaccinated man. That was the tipping point for him. Viewers are also left bewildered after Marion’s statements.
