WHAT SITUATION IN PARIS?
The Paris Hospitals are “not at saturation” to receive patients suffering from Covid-19, but need “reinforcements”, said Sunday evening their general manager, Martin Hirsch on LCI.
He counted “700 patients who are in intensive care beds because they are in serious condition”, “about a hundred more” than Saturday at the same time. But he also indicated that “1,200 or 1,300 beds” were available to accommodate patients severely affected by Covid-19, “so we continue to be able to take care of them well and we are preparing for, in a few days, to be able to further increase this number of beds available. “
Added to this are “roughly 2,000 other hospitalized patients” and more than 5,000 patients treated at home.
