Liposuction at Unauthorized Salon, This Bride-to-be Killed Page all

KUALA LUMPUR, KOMPAS.com – A bridesmaids women died while undergoing surgery liposuction unauthorized in a beauty salon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He was pronounced dead while doing liposuction at the beauty salon on Saturday (17/10/2020).

The woman named Coco Siew Zhi Shing (Xiao Zhixin) originally intended to lose weight by means of liposuction to make her look more attractive at her wedding.

Siew’s sister, Xiao Mingan, told Sin Chew Daily that her sister is preparing for her appearance and wants to look her best at the once in a lifetime event.

The 23-year-old woman initially found the beauty salon while surfing in cyberspace as reported by The Straits Times, Monday (19/10/2020).

He then paid 2,500 Malaysian ringgit or around Rp.8.8 million to get rid of the fat on his arm according to the media report.

On Saturday afternoon, Siew visited the salon for the first time and was accompanied by his friend. He then received an injection anesthesia when it comes.

About half an hour after she was injected, Siew started to feel unwell. And about an hour later, his heart stopped, according to the report.

He was rushed to hospital but attempts to resuscitate him failed and he was pronounced dead at around 17:00 local time.

Xiao said her family was very sad because they did not arrive at the hospital in time to see her sister before she died.

The beauty salon owner was not present during the procedure and did not appear at the hospital until 8:00 p.m. local time.

“After we were repeatedly interrogated, the people in charge at the salon finally revealed that they did not have permission to perform such medical procedures, but were only given permission for ordinary beauty treatments,” Xiao told Sin Chew Daily.

“The beautician who performed the procedure for my sister did not have a professional permit,” continued Xiao.

Two beauty salon owners, a woman and her daughter, have been detained to assist in the investigation into Siew’s death, the newspaper reported The Star.

“We are still confirming the cause of death,” Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Kom Saiful told a press conference.

The suction package at the salon is advertised with prices ranging from 1,500 Malaysian ringgit (Rp 5.3 million) to 3,800 Malaysian ringgit (Rp 13 million).

Local media reported the salon had performed liposuction procedures for at least 10 customers.

Xiao said her sister lives a healthy and fit lifestyle and pays great attention to her appearance.

He added that Siew even won first place in an Asian modeling competition in 2014.

“I hope my sister’s experience will be a reminder for many young women,” Xiao said.
