Line 60 workers cut the Panamericana against persecutory dismissals

Workers of line 60 are making a cut in the Panamericana – Maschwitz height – in the framework of the indefinite strike of all the branches that began at 00:00.

The plan of struggle that they defined in assemblies to carry out is raised against the anti-union and persecutory dismissals promoted by the DOTA group. At the moment the partial cut that they carry out suffers from the threat of eviction by the police.

They demand the immediate reinstatement of the worker who was elected delegate in the May 17 elections, Carlos Zaragoza. They also report that since February at least eight workers, mostly activists, have been fired.

From Izquierda Web we talked from the cut with one of the members of the body of delegates of Line 60, Bonifacio Espinoza. He affirmed that “all instances” of claim were exhausted and that “the company’s position is not to give any response” to the demand for respect for its union representation and organization.

“We also denounce that this is part of an adjustment plan of the transport companies that want to unload on the workers as a result of the crisis that they have in relation to the removal of subsidies,” Espinoza pointed out.

For his part, Carlos Zaragoza, one of the dismissed workers, declared: “This dismissal is the straw that broke the camel’s back.” Regarding the continuity of the measures, he warned that in the framework of the strike voted in assembly, new cuts in Panamericana and some points of the Federal Capital are not ruled out.
