Linda Hakeboom looks back on 1 year of cancer: ‘The fleetingness of life is gone’ | Stars

My hair was blowing in the wind when I moved…” she writes. Next to it is a photo of Hakeboom receiving chemotherapy. “The picture on the right is just moments later. Chemotherapy for the first time. And so it can go. Then, when I first lay there in that bed, I could only hope that I would survive it all at all.”

entertainment">In August last year, the TV maker was diagnosed with breast cancer. In October, the first chemotherapy started, which she completed after five months in February. She regularly keeps her followers informed about her disease process through her social media and vlogs.

entertainment">“Since this day, a year ago, so much has changed. The volatility of life is gone,” writes Hakeboom. She therefore advises her followers to celebrate life. “I feel very intensely every day that I am alive and I celebrate every moment. Every day is another day when I can be here.”
