Electric car ‘million people’ Wuling Air ev was rewarded with a discount at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week or GJAW 2023 exhibition. However, it should be noted, this attractive promo only applies to Wuling Air ev produced last year.
One of the salespeople on duty at the Wuling booth said that the Wuling Air ev 2022 production will receive a discount of up to IDR 10 million. Even so, the stock is not much, aka limited.
“There is a Wuling Air ev discount, but for the 2022 (production) unit. The discount is IDR 10 million but there isn’t much (stock),” said the salesperson when visited by detikOto at the exhibition location.
Unfortunately, the salesperson emphasized, for the 2023 Wuling Air ev production there is no discount like the 2022 production. However, they have prepared other promos during the exhibition, for example giving accessory vouchers and the opportunity to take part in a gold prize draw.
Wuling itself occupies a booth in Hall C at JCC Senayan, Central Jakarta. Besides displaying the production version of the Air ev, they also presented a modified version of the Air ev.
Currently, Wuling Air ev is priced starting at IDR 243 million to IDR 315 million. The nominal had increased by around IDR 5 million compared to the previous year.
Wuling Air ev Will Get Subsidies
Previously, the Minister of Industry or Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said, Wuling Air ev would likely receive a ‘subsidy’ or government assistance of up to IDR 35 million. However, the exact calculations will be announced soon.
“We are still calculating this and we will determine it soon,” said Agus.
Wuling Air ev itself is an electric car produced locally with an TKDN of more than 40 percent. Until now, only Wuling Air ev and Hyundai IONIQ 5 have confirmed receiving this assistance.
