Lille merchants’ clearance sale: first info / News

On Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September, a clearance sale of local traders will take place with the support of the City of Lille, in the pedestrian streets of the perimeter of the City Center, Vieux-Lille and rue Gambetta, and throughout the rest of the city for streets that allow the application of a strict sanitary protocol.

Within the framework of this event, the following prescriptions must be respected:

  • Unpacking only in front of the facades of shops, and leaving access to them in compliance with safety rules,
  • Compliance with a central traffic lane of at least 4.5 meters allowing the passage of security and intervention vehicles,
  • Limitation of unpacking sales depths to a maximum of 1 meter,
  • Facilitation of payment terms outside of shops (contactless payment cards in particular),
  • Strict application of the health rules in force on these dates (in particular compliance with government decrees and prefectural orders),
  • Obligation to wear a mask,
  • Provision of hydro-alcoholic gel.

Any unpacking request must be made before August 31 by sending a simplified request form, to be signed by the merchants, to: [email protected]

The bars and restaurants obviously keep the ephemeral terraces already allocated to support each professional in this gradual exit from the unparalleled health crisis.

The City will offer an entertainment program in the streets, around mobile musical activities, but also around comics, in particular at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Booksellers will be present at the Vieille Bourse.

The funfair will be in full swing on the Champ de Mars with its some 180 attractions.
