Ligue 1 salaries could drop by 50% on average – Foot – Coronavirus

By deciding to move to partial unemployment, the PSG closed the circle. All L1 clubs have entered this system to limit the damage related to the coronavirus in their finances. This solution is only a small part of the payroll of professional staff but it already allows substantial savings to be made for non-sports staff. The clubs which use it, and whose requests have already been validated by the regional directorate for business, competition, consumption, work and employment (DIRECCTE), which is not yet the case for Paris, compensate their employees up to 70% of their gross compensation, or around 84% of the net. The State then reimburses up to a limit of 4,850 euros per employee, ie a ceiling of 4.5 times the net minimum wage.
