Lex Uiting speaks of ‘header cloths’: celebrities cancel RTL Boulevard

Lex Uiting causes anger by talking dead serious about ‘header cloths’ and ‘head rags’ in RTL Boulevard. Soundos El Ahmadi is done with it and receives support from Glennis Grace, among others.

L RTL, NPO

One of the topics in RTL Boulevard yesterday was the controversy surrounding the Meiland TV family. They become canceled by one company after another because of statements critical of Islam. The news was discussed by presenter Bridget Maasland, reporter Aran Bade and substitute Ikink Lex Uiting.

Head scarves

Aran indicates that he fears for the image of the Meilandjes. “This gnaws a bit at the likeability of the Meiland family.”

Lex then comes up with his daring statement about headscarves: “Or maybe the viewers and fans of the Meiland family, and the viewers of SBS, also think that she has a point here with those headscarves. Or those headscarves.”

Aran: “Scarves, yes.”

Bridget: “What do you call that?!”

Limburgish

Lex immediately retracts his words: “Yes, excuse me, no.”

Bridget: “Yes, maybe that’s Limburg, I don’t know.”

Lex: “No, definitely not.”

Aran: “What Lex points out: it is so very sensitive. You notice that today too. People no longer dare to speak out. The Meiland family dares to talk about headscarves and people in burqas, which they call penguins.”

“Can’t say anything more!”

Moments later, Aran remarks: “I know from Erica that this is gnawing at her. She’s also had death threats, she’s slept badly because of it. It also says something about the culture now: you can hardly say anything anymore and a lot of people don’t dare to say anything anymore.”

Then it turns out that Lex’s statement isn’t a slip of the tongue was, “And I can’t even say rags!”

Aran: “No, that’s a problem, Lex, when you say that. It’s really an open nerve and I’m surprised about that today.”

Soundos ferocious

Comedian Soundos El Ahmadi thinks it’s incredible. “New! You can say whatever you want! Just don’t be scared and whine that people are talking back THAT DON’T LOOK LIKE YOU! That’s the irritation isn’t it? Lex Expression that deliberately says headscarves twice and chuckles is not funny. Making anti-Islam mainstream or salonfähig is not funny.”

“And yes, people are saying something about that. Like me. And that’s okay. But I’ve said it a thousand times. This is what you get when you 0 diversity with a program such as RTL Boulevard in front of the scenes, but also especially behind the scenes. But meanwhile they have a big mouth about society while society is not reflected in their program at all.”

Facts

Soundos probably points out that RTL Boulevard itself is very white, but continuously with a raised finger points to non-diverse media or singing groups. “I have said to them once and I was not thanked at all. facts. You can not say that.”

“I can say less, but they can talk about your ass and dehumanize you with a word like headscarf. You’re not funny, Lex Expression. You are not ‘nicely sanding’. You are an underdeveloped man who is in a panic because of his lack of talent. And yes, I can say that. Challas!”

Glennis’ tirade is supported by several celebrities, including Alkan Çöklü (GTST), Hila Noorzai (EenVandaag), Glennis Grace (Soundmixshow), Robin Martens (GTST) and Fatima Elatik (ex-PvdA).
